Each of our camps are filled with a week’s worth of themed & fun learning activities with each day targeted to a specific topic. Our days are filled with books, creative writing prompts (or story telling depending on age), crafts, science experiments, food snacks, and more!

Blast to the Past: Prehistoric Plants Week

This is our “Blast to the Past: An Amazing Prehistoric Plants Week” – an at home week filled with days of relaxed learning and fun activities all themed to the oh-so-cool, but often overlooked, awesome prehistoric plants!  For this week, we traveled back in time by first creating the ultimate ‘natural’ learning space by decorating it with leaf and plant backdrops, green streamers hanging from the ceiling, and DIY plant fossils. Then we moved onto learning plants in some of the earliest eras. It was definitely an eye opening experience to study the evolution of plants! This is our our “Wonders of the World Week” an at home week filled with days of relaxed learning and fun activities all themed to a few of the new wonders of the world!  Part history, part cultural studies, this week was definitely a thrilling, whirlwind adventure as we “traveled” to a different Wonder each day, learning a bit about the man-made construction, time period, and culture of each magnificent structure.  We did not have time to study each wonder (and we did sneak in a few runner ups) but it was an awe-inspiring week that fueled many more questions and self study!
