Welcome to our “The Enchanted Spring Meadow: Spring-time Animals” series. For this week, we focused on a different spring time creature each day, bringing some fun & educational adventure mixed in with some crafts and activities! Perfect for spring time fun, spring themed learning sessions, or spring breaks! Read on to check out a fun filled week of learning, reading, crafts, and activities all on spring time animals!
Day 1: Rabbits

Bunny rabbits need no introduction! They’re furry, adorable creatures that hop about and are almost synonymous with the warming spring temperatures! Whether they’re racing down a meadow or jumping in grass, these cute little creatues often bring smiles to little faces. For this day, we read about bunnies, snacked on a few bunny shaped treates, and crafted a few bunnies! Click here to check out full details of the day!
Day 2: Baby Chicks

Baby chicks need no introduction! They’re furry, adorable yellow creatures. Like rabbits, they are almost synonymous with the warming spring temperatures! For this day, we learned all about the life cycle of a chicken, snacked on some treats, and made some chick-themed crafts! Click here to check out full details of the day!
Day 3: Little Lambs

Whether it’s a popular nursery rhyme or a trip to the farm, little ones are already quite familiar with baby sheep! These little lambs need no introduction! They’re fluffy, adorable creatures who may even visit at bedtime in the form of being counted! For this day, we learned about lambs and sheep. Click here to check out full details of the day!
Day 4: : Raccoons

Raccoons are another animal that is seen more often during the spring season! These little creatures have gotten the reputation for being sneaky little bandits – both because they like to raid porches for food and because of their dark fur around their eyes (making them look like they’re wearing masks). For this day, we had some creative fun making up stories with raccoons, learned about their favorite snacks, and crafted a few raccoons of our own. Click here to check out full details of the day!
Day 5: Beavers

Beavers may not be the first animal that little ones think of when someone says ‘Springtime’ but they are very important for the spring season. These little builders are active during the spring season and help create dams that control water flow. Click here to check out full details of the day!
