Our little ones have been Pokemon fans for quite a while, so we’ve definitely had our fair share of Pokemon Parties (Gotta Catch ‘Em All Pokemon Party and EPIC Pokemon Halloween Party).  Now that they’re a bit older, they wanted to level up their pokemon celebration 🙂

This was a fairly small party, so we were able to spend a bit more on each guest to set up for some fun gaming and card trading!

THE TABLE

For our table, we opted for an easy Pokemon Party Pack with plates, cups, napkins, and forks.  At the center, we set out a LEGO Pokémon Premier Ball Set #30729 and LEGO Pokémon Trainer Supplies 30730, which the kids had fun putting together at the end of the party.

We also spread out some Pokemon Cards as well as some Pokemon Go $10 gift cards (which they used later in the day).

PARTY FOOD

No party is complete without some party food!  Since we had a handful of tweens, we ordered party favorites – pizza & chicken tenders.  BUT, we also picked up a few pokemon themed snacks: pokemon fruit snacks, goldfish pokemon crackers, and pokemon pirate booty.  The individually packed snacks were definitely useful on our trek outside after the party!

GAMES & ACTIVITIES

We typically set up an activity table for kids to keep entertained while everyone arrives AND after all the games are done.  These activities are simple and easy and typically don’t require too much supervision!

  • Pokemon Coins: This was our big activity for the party.  All the kiddos play Pokemon Go, so we bought a $10 card so each kid could add some coins to their account.  Then we went around playing as a group!  Note: we did pick a day that had an ongoing raid event, so it was a bit more fun.  We did want to aim for one of the bigger events but everyone still had fun walking around and playing!
  • Card Trading: We did pick up a few standard pokemon card packs but also had two of the more powerful pokemon cards.  For these, we opened them up and randomly passed out a few to each kid.
  • Sticker Hunt: This activity works soooo well that we use it in almost every party toward the end!  Stickers are a great way of decorating party tables (as table scatter).  For some of our last activities, we have a ‘sticker hunt’ and let the kids run around collecting as many as possible!   They get to keep or trade whichever ones they find!  For this party, kids picked up the cartoon stickers that were spread out around the party area!

GOODIE BAGS & GIVE WAYS

Since we spent a bit on each guest for the gaming portion (the cards and the pokemon go coins), our goodie bags were fairly simple – candy and some extra packs of cards.
