I know I’m in good company when I say it often feels like there isn’t enough time in the day, week, month, year…  It can be quite difficult to carve out the time to create those special memories with your family or even to muster up the energy at the end of the day to ‘slow down and see the world through your child’s eyes and their pace’ even for just a few moments.  BUT in the end, it’s those memories that live on through our children and hopefully we’ve created more than a few that they’ll cherish enough to share them with their children and their loved ones.

I started this site to share with you some memories that we’ve created with our family in hopes that you can take a few of our ideas and build upon them to make your own.  A good chunk of what’s here are some ideas we’ve had for our kids’ birthday parties or other events.  It may seem like a daunting task but in the end, it doesn’t have to be perfect and it most likely won’t be.  What matters is that you’re creating something that your kids will love and remember and that you can look back on in the years to come.

A few things I’ve learned to help keep your sanity 🙂 :

  1. Keep things basic – you don’t have to stress out about buying everything in the store that matches your party’s theme.  Pick out a few that you like and get the rest of the basics in complementing colors.
  2. You don’t have to go all-in with the decorations either (They end up in the recycling bin anyway).  A good color printer and some construction paper go a long way!
  3. If you’ve put a lot of effort into your party area or tables, take pictures of your party area BEFORE everyone gets there!  They won’t look the same even a few minutes into the party.  Trust me…
  4. Breathe – you’re kids are just as excited and really won’t remember if you’ve missed a thing or two.  They’ll just be happy that it’s their day and you’ve spent so much time and effort on setting up this big event for them.

Make Some Memories! 🙂 🙂 🙂
