An Easy & Inexpensive Mini Bunny Garden Craft for Kids

Need a super easy craft to add to your spring or Easter celebration?   This mini moss bunny garden one is super cute and lets your kids decorate or design using their own creativity! Read on to check out our ideas!

If you’re little ones are fans of making mini fairy gardens, this one will be just as familiar!  Instead of placing a fairy in the mix, you’ll have an adorable moss bunny!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

You can definitely mix and match or look for some natural elements (like twigs, mini stones, pine cones, acorns, etc) all around your area.   Most of the other items you can find at the garden or craft section in Dollar Stores or Craft Stores.  Some Dollar Trees also have a fairy garden section where you can pick up some other mini figurines to add to your ‘garden’ scene.  Aside from the moss bunny, these are just a few suggestions of our supplies:

THE SUPPLIES:

  • 1 Small Moss Bunny
  • Natural Wood Slice
  • Moss
  • Potpourri
  • Twine
  • Mini Stones
  • Mini Pinecones
  • Mini Plastic Mushrooms
  • Mini Plastic Ladybugs

THE TOOLS:

  • Glue (We usually use hot glue guns for these types of projects as hot glue dries much quicker and is usually stronger.  BUT, you will need to help out your little ones so they don’t burn themselves)

STEPS

STEP 1: Arrange the Garden

Let your kiddo arrange the ‘garden’ as they please.

STEP 2: Glue

Once they’re done arranging (and have after a few ‘final warnings’) assured you that they don’t want to move anything around :), start gluing items in place.   Again, hot glue works best for these types or projects but you may need to warn your little one to steer clear of the glue gun as it can get very hot.

STEP 3: Enjoy!

Once everything is dry, you can add it next to a well-loved plant, display on your craft shelves, or let the little kiddos use it as backdrops for their nature-inspired imaginative play day!
