Easy Easter Ideas for Those Who LOVE Building & Legos!!!
Tagged Tags: , ,

Easter is just around the corner and and adding a bit of Lego fun will surely double the smiles from your little aspiring Master Builders! Fill their baskets with Lego Kits, send them on hunts to find some pieces to put together, or place a mini building kits inside their eggs. Read on to check out the fun!

EASTER BASKETS

The easiest & quickest (though a bit more costly) would be to pick up some Easter kits! The Lego store always sells a few themed items a few months in advance and usually sell out quickly. Luckily, you may still be able to find some kits at other places: Lego Easter Bunny Building Kit and the Lego Easter Bunny Hut. Pack them into some Easter baskets along with some other fun Easter treats and you’ve got one AMAZING gift basket 🙂

MINI BUILDING KITS

Another quick and easy way to add some lego/building block fun into the mix is picking up some pre-filled Easter eggs. Although they’re not necessarily the Lego brand, they’re the same building block concept. There are actually quite a few out there to pick from. We picked Prefilled Easter Eggs with Car Building Kits. They’re small but fun for kids to put together & this set does actually roll. Add the eggs into Easter bags or baskets for a fun surprise or hide them around the house for an Easter egg hunt!

DRAGON PUZZLE EGGS

Eggs, puzzles, dragons – what a combination! For any of you that may have seen our other posts, you know that our household LOVES dragons! These very cool looking Dragon Figurine Puzzles made their way into some of our Easter baskets a while back and just keep coming back! Since then, we’ve picked up more kits to hand out as party favors or other games for our dragon parties! There aren’t too many pieces per dragon, but you do get to put the dragons together which is super fun. They’re also a bit bigger than your typical plastic figurines, so the kiddos can play with them a bit more easily!

BUILDING BLOCK KIT

These kits don’t come with instructions but your kiddo will be able to create and build using their own imaginations! We picked these up from the Target Spot shop for just $1 but if you want more Easter-themed ones, you can find them online or in stores as well Mini Maker Tube Easter Chick and Big Bunny Tube OR pick up enough tubes to make different colored ones using the instructions: Plus Plus Bunny & Chick Video Instructions! You can also definitely encourage their creativity by giving them some open ended challenges and letting them create on their own 🙂 These are our bunnies and chicks and as you can see, they’ve added in some mini eyes with some markers 🙂

A LEGO EASTER EGG HUNT

Building Kits and eggs are super fun but if you’ve got some older kids, you can also challenge them with a bit more puzzle solving! Find a small Lego Kit (we used Lego Creator Easter Bunny Polybag but you can really pick any small set) and some plastic Easter eggs. Then, fill each egg up with a few pieces from the kit. Hide the eggs around the house and optionally mix in a few other eggs filled with candy and other goodies to add to the fun of finding eggs! (Be sure to keep track of where you hide the eggs because they won’t be able to complete the build without all the pieces!). If you really want to add to the challenge, cut up the instructions into puzzle pieces and add those into different eggs as well. Then they’ll have to solve the instructions puzzle before building the Lego Kit. It’s definitely a bit more involved by well worth it for kids who LOVE puzzles, hunts, and block building!
