Quick & Easy Ideas for an Easy & Sweet Little Snowman Party!

Celebrating with Snowmen!  It’s that time of year again when the weather drops and the kiddos eagerly await snow to make snowmen and snowballs!   While you can’t make snow fall, you can always bring the fun with some snowman activities!  These decorations and activities can be paired with a Frosty the Snowman watch party, kids Holiday party, or just some fun winter activities!  Read on to check out some of our ideas from one of our snowman parties!

THE TABLE

Decorating the table is a great way to get everyone excited about the snowy theme!   Around winter-time, there are tons of snowman themed snacks and decorations that you can easily find.  For this party, we used Snowman Plates, Snowman Favor Boxes, Snowflake Felt Stickers.  We also picked up a packet of Ghirardelli Snowmen Chocolates – you usually find these around winter at most general stores (Walgreens, CVS, Target, Walmart, grocery stores, etc…).

SNACKS & DESSERTS

  • If you’re pairing these activities with a snowman movie, then popcorn is an obvious choice, after all, what’s a movie without popcorn??  Go with the all-time favorite movie popcorn or splurge on one of those holiday tins with the different flavors!  Either way, popcorn is a great snack for movies 🙂
  • Quaker Chewy Holiday Minis: These are cute little snowman versions of the regular Quaker Chocolate Chip Granola Bars.  The outside wrapper has a few different snowmen designs but inside, it’s essentially the same snack. You can typically find these with the regular granola bars at your grocery store!
  • Marshmallow Snowmen!  Using some different shaped marshmallows, pretzels, and chocolate chips, you can make cute and yummy little snowmen!  (To glue them together, melt a bit of the marshmallow or chocolate and it should be sticky enough to keep the light pieces together).

ACTIVITIES

  • Mini Snowman Sticker Scenes:  These are pretty small – about half the size of a regular sheet of paper, but you can get a packet of 12 for under $3.  It’s a nice little activity for kids who LOVE stickers – they can mix and match, creating different designs!
  • Wooden Snowmen for Crafts:  These DIY wooden snowmen are great for crafts!  Regular paint or paint pens work great.  Then you can add them into snow globes or mini-winter scenes!  (To keep costs low, use some Dollar Store cotton balls, jars (or upcycled jars), pine cones, and some evergreens!) . Get creative 🙂
  • Snowman Beads:  There are few different sets that you can purchase, but we went with a basic one (without scarfs or multiple colors).  Rather than using string, we let the kids pick out pipe cleaners – it was much easier for little hands 🙂
  • Snowman Paper Airplanes: orientaltrading.com sells these decorative paper airplanes in a packet with two other designs, but we separated the snowman ones out to fit our design 🙂  They’re not the best flying paper airplanes we’ve ever made, but they’re definitely cute and fun for the kids to toss around 🙂

GOODIE BAGS:

In addition to the mini snowman favor boxes on the table (filled with yummy Ghirardelli snowmen chocolate!), we gave away a little bag with a few Mini Dress a Snowman Sticker Roll, Stackable Snowman Pencils, Snowflake Felt Stickers, and other little trinkets 🙂
