Miniature Upcycled Table Craft – Supplies

THE SUPPLIES:

  • Twigs
  • Twine
  • Cardboard from a Food Box (cereal, granola bar, etc)
  • Small Cylinders (size will depend on how large your mini table is. The cylinders will be the table legs)

THE TOOLS

  • Glue (or tape)
  • Scissors

STEPS

STEP 1: Create the Table Top

Cut out a piece of cardboard to the size you’d like your table to be – this will be the base of your table and will hold the twigs in place.   Cut the twigs so that they are the same length as the table top.  Glue the twigs onto the cardboard.  Optionally tie the ends with twine as well.

STEP 2: Create the Legs

If your table is small, you might only need one “large” leg in the middle.  Otherwise, you’ll need a few similar sized cylinder shapes.  For this example, we used the top of an empty glue stick.  Add some glue or tape to the cylinder and wrap some twine around it.

STEP 3: Attach the Legs

Using a bit of glue or tape, affix the legs to the cardboard side of the table top.

STEP 4: Add the Chairs!

If you can find some small flat stones, you could use those for chairs.  For our example, we just used larger twigs to act as “benches”.

STEP 5: Optionally Decorate

Optionally decorate your tabletop with some miniature items like a table cloth (felt, tissue paper, colored napkins would all work).
