Looking for a simple mini craft to add to your Halloween decor? These miniature cauldrons are super easy and inexpensive! Use them in other decorations, create a whole array of cauldrons, switch out the pom poms for mini-candies & pass them out – the possibilities are endless!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
THE SUPPLIES:
- Mini Cauldrons – You can get these in several places for relatively low cost especially around Halloween. Here is a link to a dozen set from Amazon: Mini Black Witch Cauldron
- Twine
- Small Square Red Tissue Paper
- Small Square Green Tissue Paper
- Small Green Pom Poms – We had pom poms from several different kits, but you can find a set here: 1cm Assorted Pom Pom. Alternatively, you can use some of the mini styrofoam balls or mini pom poms from the Dollar Tree.
STEPS
STEP 1: Create the Logs
Cut the twine about an inch in length and arrange to look like logs on your base. (In this example, we’re using a small piece of wood as our base)
STEP 2: Create the Fire
Crumple the red tissue paper a bit so that it looks like ‘fire’. Place the cauldron on top to ensure the fire peeks out a bit.
STEP 3: Create the Witch’s Cauldron
For our example, we’re using green as the contents of the cauldron but you can switch to any color of your preference. Add the tissue into the cauldron (alternatively, you can just add pom poms – the tissue allows for a lower # of pom poms needed for the craft). Add the pom poms on top of the issue.
STEP 4: Finished Product!
Place the finished cauldron back on top of the fire.
