Who’s ready for Truckloads of Christmas Fun!?!  Whether you load up a truck with a big, fresh Christmas tree or decorate a tiny tabletop one, this holiday party is BIG on fun 🙂  With some easy, low-prep activities and decorations, this one is great for keeping the family entertained!  Read on to check out the fun!

DECORATIONS

There are tons of holiday decorations with Christmas Trucks carrying fresh trees to decorate!  We could not resist picking up a few from Dollar Stores and craft sections!

An easy decorative trick is to wrap some canvases or empty extra boxes with themed wrapping paper!

THE TABLE

We continued the Christmas Truck theme on our table as well.  For each setting, we used Christmas Paper Plates & Napkins as well as some Mini Red Trucks from the Dollar Tree.

In the center used some Vintage Truck Treat Stands and added some crafts and toys for the little ones to get excited about (most were from the Dollar Tree or discounted sections at craft stores).  Note: the Vintage Truck Treat Stands may require some extra glue to keep together.  They are cardboard, so use them to hold light items vs. anything heavy.

And finally, we scattered some mini red glitter ornaments all around the table.

THE PHOTO AREA

If you’ve seen any of our other parties, you’re likely familiar with our love of photo backdrops!  They’re great ways of setting the scene and also giving party guests an added, low-prep activity!

We had a simple snowy backdrop that we’ve used for several winter parties. In the front, we added a DIY Red Truck made out of some large cardboard boxes – they’re simple to set up and make for a great play around for imaginative play too!

If you’re looking for more of ‘all in one’ background, there are some Christmas Truck backdrops that you can find as well: Christmas Red Truck Banner Backdrop, Merry Christmas Plaid Backdrop, Christmas Photo Backdrop Red Rustic Truck)

Note, you don’t have to go all out with a photo backdrop stand either.  Grab a few pieces of tape and an empty wall & you’re all set!

ACTIVITIES

Most of our activities were bundled into the Vintage Truck Treat Stands.  We filled them with wood crafts to paint, mini lego polybags, and some more mini Dollar Tree truck toys.

  • Wood Truck Painting.  In keeping with the theme, if you’ve got a young, crafty bunch, you can pick up some wood slices for them to color – paint pens work great on these but markers would do the trick too.  (Most of ours came from the Dollar Tree: Crafter’s Square DIY Wood Truck Decor)
  • Mini Truck Races.  Time to grab your Mini Farm Trucks and set up some races!  Send them across the finish line and see who gets there first OR see who can transport the most objects.  To keep in the Holiday theme, you can use “snow” (cotton balls or marshmallows), miniature ornaments, !  (Mini matchbox cars and leftover candy corn would work great too!)
  • Story Time.  All good things must come to an end.  After all the fun and games, it may be difficult to wind down all the little ones.  A story or movie can do just that 🙂

GOODIE BAGS & GIVEAWAYS

If this is a holiday party, wrap up presents in truck – themed wrapping paper (50 sq ft Vintage Truck with Tree Christmas Gift Wrap Cream, 20 sq ft Vintage Truck Christmas Gift Wrap Brown, 20 sq ft Red Truck Foil Christmas Wrapping Paper)!   Or if you’re going the gift card route, place the card in a Christmas House Flip Top Gift Card Holder.  Otherwise, pass out some Mini Red Truck Ornaments or Christmas Pull Back Trucks and let them head home with the mini truck toys and crafts 🙂
