An Exciting Start to the School Year with a Back to School Mini-Party & Activities!
Tagged Tags: ,

It’s that time of year again – when summer winds down and school picks up.   Make “Back to School” an exciting time filled with annual traditions, mini-parties, and activities!  Read on to check out some of our ideas!

SCHOOL YEAR DRAWING

As a sweet little keepsake photo, write down the grade that they’re entering on a sheet of paper.  Then have them decorate it with what they think they’ll learn in the school year or what they’re excited about!  If they’re older they can also write as well.

FIRST DAY PICTURE

One the first day before they get to class, take a quick picture with them & the picture they drew earlier (what to expect or what they’d like to happen that year).  If they didn’t have a chance to create one, then a paper with their grade, a printed out version (Feel free to use our images for your personal use here) will do too!

SCHOOL SUPPLY SHOPPING

Part of the new school year fun is getting a bunch of new pencils, notebooks, lunchboxes, and other supplies!  Make your kiddos part of the process by letting them pick out a few things (Quick note:  if you’re on a budget, let them know they can’t go crazy)

A BACK TO SCHOOL MINI PARTY

So this one is more of a mini celebration but the idea is pretty simple – dress up a table in a ‘school theme’, serve a few traditional school snacks, and lay out some inspiration 🙂

While you can find some apple paper plates, we opted to use red ones with green napkins placed as leaves.  We also added some mini chalkboard picks from the Dollar Store as well as some Mini Pencils with Inspirational Quotes and some Inspirational Notepads.  (You could also write or print out some inspirational quotes as well instead of purchasing anything 😉 )
