Need a super easy craft for your next magician’s party, magic movie night, or imaginative play day? This is a super easy craft and can easily be made with materials from home! Read on to check it out!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
THE SUPPLIES:
- 1 thin rod or paper towel roll
- 1 Sheet of Black Construction Paper
- 1 Sheet of White Construction Paper
THE TOOLS:
- Scissors
- Glue or Tape (Note: We used tape so the wand would be ready to play with immediately. )
STEPS
STEP 1: Tips
Start with the white part of the wand – which is at both ends. Cut out two small rectangles out of the white paper. Tape one of the rectangles to the tip of the rod. Then wrap the rest of the tap to cover the top portion. Repeat with the bottom.
STEP 2: Body
Cut a long strip of black paper (enough to wrap around the rod). Tape the black paper to the rod. Wrap the rest of the paper so that the rod is covered with the black paper and glue or tape the edge.
ALTERNATIVES:
If you don’t have a small rod, you can also use a paper towel roll. Cut the roll lengthwise, then roll into a thinner rod.
If you don’t have construction paper, you can also paint!
