THE DETAILS
Rather than just do a simple scavenger hunt, we combined a few activities to make the entire game a bit more fun an interactive. Some activity cards have you searching the house for something holiday themed, some have you drawing a recognizable holiday picture, and some may get the entire family talking with “naming your favorites”.
Feel free to use these or add your own!
- Find (or draw) a gingerbread person
- Name all of Santa’s reindeer (Bonus if they’re in alpha order)
- What lyric comes next? Jingle Bells. Jingle Bells…. (Bonus points if you sing it!)
- Be the FIRST to find ALL the words! (We had a simple seek and find on the card/screen).
- Say this tongue twister 5x fast: How many deer would a reindeer reign if a reindeer could reign deer?
- Unscramble these Holiday words as FAST as you can! (We had a few scrambled holiday words on the card/screen).
- Find a homemade ornament
- Find a blank sheet of paper and pencil or crayons
- Now, draw a picture of a chimney with stockings
- Name all the yummy dishes you just add for dinner!
- Name THREE Holiday Movies you are going to watch this season!!!
- And FINALLY – wish everyone a happy holiday greeting!
